Minimalist Shoes

Shoe reviews on a barefoot running website?!?  It is our philosophy that no shoe is the best shoe.  However, there will be situations and conditions that warrant the used of shoes.  Our goal is to help you decide which shoe best fits your specific needs.  All reviews are conducted from the perspective of a barefoot runner.

Glove-like Minimalist Shoes: These shoes are designed to hug your feet like a glove.

Functional Minimalist Shoes: Shoes that allow your feet to function naturally within the shoe.

Independent Minimalist Shoes: Shoes that are not securely affixed to your feet, usually have "floppy' feel.

Traditional Minimalist Shoes: Work like traditional shoes; do not allow feet to work naturally but are lightweight, have a thin sole with no heel-to-toe differential, and somewhat flexible.

Reduced Shoes: Shoes that do not allow foot to work naturally, but have less padding, more flexible, or lighter than traditional running shoes.  Will have a raised heel.
