Events Worth Doing
Just a quick note from the road- here are two events worth checking out if you’re even remotely close to the respective areas. I know both race organizers and each should be absolutely awesome!
- Boston Barefoot Running Festival, April- 14-15. The event will feature a symposium with Ken Bob, Michael Sandler, Irene Davis, Theresa Withee, Daniel Howell, and James Stoxon, and a timed 5k. Celebrity barefoot runners Preston Curtis and Theresa Withee are organizing the event.
- Marquette Trail 50 miler (and 50k), August 15th. This race takes place during the second weekend of August, or as Marquette natives call it- “summer.” My friend Andy Grosvenor is directing the race. Andy is an experienced ultrarunner, so this event should be awesome!
As of right now, we know we won’t be able to make it to the Barefoot Running Festival (we’ll be at the Down and Dirty in LA), but we may be able to make the Marquette 50. Stay tuned!
